Top to bottom: Black African, Warm Vanilla Sugar, Lavender, Eucalyptus, & Oak Moss soaps from Abundantly Aromatic
For a few years now I have dealt with a few skin issues I'm sure most men encounter at some point. Most of the complications surrounding the growth of facial hair. Especially men with thicker, more coarse hair. These hair types don't break through the skin easily causing irritation and painful in-grown hair. I have tried many products but found that my skin is also sensitive to harsh chemicals. Recently I loaded up on natural soaps, moisturizers, and beard oils in hopes of relieving my face of some irritating, tender, and discolored spot from new facial hair growth.
First,...Soaps. I visited Farmer's Market and found a local, natural body care/candle maker. Many of the products I had been recommended were carried by the brand. My main focus was the Black African Soap(the other soaps pictured are everyday body soaps but can be used on your face). Black African Soap is used to relieve razor bumps, eliminate blemishes, and lightly exfoliate skin. I've been using the soap for a week, twice a day and I've noticed less irritation under my chin(my problem area). This has not cured me of in grown hairs from shaving, but has offered relief from painful irritation. My skin also looks generally less blotchy. You can find this soap at (link website) Abundantly Aromatic.
Jack Black Facial Cleanser, Bump fix, & Moisturizer.
My go-to products are by Jack Black(no relation). These products absolutely work. I was recommended this line of products by my girlfriend who is an licensed esthetician aka skin care expert. If you go this route the cleanser should be used twice a day( morning and before sleep), the bump fix after cleanser nightly, & the moisturizer as needed but typical in the morning after the cleanser. Jack Black (link site) products are natural-ish. The ingredients range from clay & volcanic ash to blue algea extract. They do contain a few chemicals, but nothing that will burn your face off. They are used to gently penetrate the top layer of skin.
The face wash is great! The volcanic ash exfoliates your skin, removing a dead layer(perfect for releasing in grows trapped under the skin). I personal replaced this with the African Black Soap just to try something more natural. Its a trials period to see which works best.
The bump fix solution is clear liquid that I apply nighlty. This stuff softens your skin allowing in growns to be brought to/through the surface of the skin. It needs to be used at night. I think this is because if you ever use it during the day it itches like crazy. The solution itself doesn't.. The hair breaking the skin does. When you get up in the morning its important to wash your face and gently exfoliate your skin and then use the moisturizer. This offsets the itchy dryness the bump fix causes. If you're very routine about this regiment, results show with in 14 days. THESE REQUIRE DISCIPLINE. The bump fix can make your problematic areas worse if you don't wash and moisturizer the following morning.
These products are helping me with my skin issues. Hopefully the shared experience can help you out a bit. Of course test these products on small areas of your skin to test for an allergies/irritation. If you show signs abort mission and try something else. Any questions... Tweet me blaq__
Kanye West - All Day Kanye West - All Day Kanye West - All Day Kanye West - All Day Kanye West - All Day Kanye West - All Day
Ye is back to rapping! "All day" sounds like Yeezy took bits and pieces from each album, threw them in a pot.. then found a uniform way to put them all on one track. Yes....even pieces from Yeezus (which I liked) I really hope the new album titled "So Help Me God" has more of this.
For the first time in 2015 I have decided what exactly I wanted to paint. Sometimes as an artist you get attached to other projects/commission work and lack the time to create exactly what YOU want to see in the world. After catching up on all of the comic book movies I missed the last two years, I figured I would insert my own 'GF' character into the marvel universe. I typically paint in series of three, but this comic-book like style is really fun. I may continue it to a series of six or nine. Here are the three characters I am running with.

If you've been paying attention.. I posted about Monika Ashley two weeks ago. She's an amazing songstress from Dallas. While admiring her talent I also took notice of another local talent. Joseph Veazie was featured on a track yet to be released by Monika (I've had her entire project, most songs unreleased for over a year because friend privileges). After hearing Joseph I ran to Google to find more music. In the process I learned he was now in 'The Jealous'. A band comprised of " the cooled ashes of several Dallas musical acts". They're currently working on an Ep and released the first song 'Attention Whore' recently. Definitely keep a watch out for these guys!
