Japanese tradition of Kokeshi Doll making.

400 years of tradition keeps this doll prominent in the Japanese culture. Kokeshi dolls come in different sizes and shapes but the overall armless/legless design remains. Each piece is crafted from weathered Dogwood or Japanese maple. This dolls are said to have been first created around the Endo Period (1600).

The craftsmanship is perfect!
